Christmas Light Up Visits to the Three Bishops
In Honor of the Successful Election of Brigadier Andrew Nimley, Supreme Subordinate Worthy President And Noble Lady Sister Philomena T. Williams, Supreme Subordinate Respected President Of the Supreme Subordinate Commandery & Auxiliary, KSJI – Liberia, Held on December 13, 2026 – Harbel, Maryland County
The Supreme Subordinate Commandery and Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John International – Liberia joyfully gathered on February 14, 2026, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, to celebrate a solemn Thanksgiving Mass in honor of the successful election of Brigadier General Andrew Nimley as Supreme Subordinate Worthy President, and Noble Lady Sister Philomena T. Williams as Supreme Subordinate Respected President on December 13, 2026, in Harbel, Maryland County.
This sacred celebration was offered in gratitude to Almighty God for His guidance, protection, and favor throughout the electoral process. Surrounded by members, officers, clergy, and well wishers, the newly elected leaders expressed profound appreciation to the Church, whose spiritual foundation continues to anchor the mission and identity of the Knights and Ladies of St. John.
In their remarks, the elected officers reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to working collectively to advance the Organization’s aims and objectives. They emphasized that leadership within the Order is a sacred responsibility—one that demands humility, unity, discipline, and a deep sense of service to God, the Church, and the nation.
They called upon all brothers and sisters of the Order to remain steadfast in their vows of brotherhood, sisterhood, respect, and love, reminding members that these virtues are the pillars upon which the Knights and Ladies of St. John stand. Members were encouraged to exemplify good morals, dignity, and Christian character, both within the Organization and in the wider society.

In a profound display of unity, reverence, and Christmas joy, the Three Grand Auxiliaries—the Monrovia Grand, the St. Paul River Banks Grand, and the Gbarnga–Cape Palmas Grand—embarked on a special Christmas mission to light up the homes of our three Bishops:
• His Grace, Archbishop Gabriel Jubwe
• His Lordship, Bishop Andrew Karnley
• His Lordship, Bishop Anthony Boyah
This sacred gesture was undertaken in gratitude to the shepherds who guide the Church in Liberia and in celebration of the birth of Christ, the Light of the World.
With hearts full of joy and hands bearing fruit, gifts, and Christmas decorations, the Grand Auxiliaries beautified the bishops’ residences into warm symbols of hope and festivity. The light up ceremony brought great tidings of joy, reminding all present that the mission of the Knights and Ladies of St. John is deeply intertwined with the life of the Church.
The visit was marked by prayer, fellowship, and expressions of appreciation for the Bishops’ spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and unwavering support to the Order. The Grand Auxiliaries reaffirmed their commitment to walk in obedience to the Church, uphold Catholic values, and continue serving with humility and devotion.
As the lights shone brightly across the three residences, they symbolized:
